This is a great park if you don't need a lot of amenities. There are NO bathrooms/showers, you need to be self-contained so no pop-ups without showers etc. Great location to get around the Amish area. Sites are VERY level with stone and some have grass in between sites; others are just all stone. Hook-ups are easily accessible. Not a place for kids as there is not much to do at the campground but for adults who want quiet this is it. Free firewood too. Nice people and great rates.

Lovely park-like setting with level, long sites. Well designed layout and the owners seem to be hands-on and have a vested interest in making their campers happy. We have visited several times before and have returned this year to see several improvements with new sites. I wish more parks were like this! Wifi was really good in most areas. Shopping is about 15-20 min away, if you need something.

Many Seasonals- for the most part nicely kept. The campground is located in a very hilly area and the sites are terraced. Some views are nice but a lot of the view from the top sites are the roofs of the other RVs. Roads are extremely dusty and could use stone. Sites are not all that level and are very narrow. Some pull-throughs. Most sites are long but as said narrow. We could hear our neighbors talking. I would consider this campground "city camping." Owners are nice and accommodating. Activities for kids. Heated Pools. We camped with friends and we all felt about the same and probably would not return here.

We really enjoyed our four night stay here. This campground is closer to Alexandria Bay than to Clayton. There is a huge bait store within two minutes of the campground. We had a site along the river but it was busy and somewhat noisy as it was near the marina. Many boats and fisherpeople going in and out VERY early in the morning. However, we loved the view of the river with the big ocean going vessels navigating the channel. They do rent small fishing boats and a canoe at the marina. It says you are to park your RV perpendicular to the river (not parallel) but we found people did - blocking everyone else's view. We followed directions and parked the proper way and had our rear picture window looking out to the river. The folks on the other side of the road unfortunately had their views blocked which I felt was unfair and will report this to the authorities. Everyone should be able to view the beautiful river and islands. Nice people working there and an overall wonderful stay.

If you read the post that gives this place a 10, you'll see it must be written by an owner or friend of an owner. Who else writes like they are writing a brochure - an owner or seasonal friend of the owner!!! We would never camp here again. Beware!

This is a State Park in the middle of the 1000 Islands. There are NO hookups here at all. There are five prime sites along the river which you can sit and watch all the boats, yachts and freighters go by. Because there is no beach there is a huge pool with lifeguards. Some sites are extremely small for an RV and the park has a lot of tenters that bring their boats. There are lots of spots to fish from the edge including a beautiful old stone gazebo along the river edge. There are also places for the kids to jump off the rocks into the river - a very popular and able to s safe thing to do. In Alexandria Bay which is a two minute ride, there are typical touristy things to do including the Boat rides in large touring boats that give you various tours through the islands - not to be missed if you don't have your own boat to explore the area. We camped in our travel trailer for five days with no hookups but were able to enjoy the wonderful views from our prime site. There is usually a cool breeze from the river. A very quiet and small state park.

This is a very beautiful, well run State campground. The pool is located 4 miles down the road at Fort Niagara State park but it has 3 pools with a water slide - no fee to get into the park if you are camped at Four Mile Creek but you do need to pay a small 1-3 dollar fee to use the pools which are very nice. Our site was across the road from the lake. There are about 10-12 Prime sites that back right to the lake. Great view but you couldn't have your awning out whenever it was windy - even with tie downs. Playground is small. Roads are paved and most sites are level and some have gravel. My only complaint would be to have more water spigots to fill your tank with you need 200-400' of hose in some areas. Otherwise, lovely setting and lots of security.

We were here with friends. Nice campground and attentive personnel who escort you via golf cart to your site. It rained buckets when we were there and thus lots of mud due to lack of grass in some areas. Some larger stone is also needed on some of the roadways. The basic rate for WES was $ 28.00 (no AAA or Good Sam discounts). One must pay extra for cable if desired and AC if you run yours. It was hot and we did and paid each day. The pool is small but was a welcome relief. The waterfalls are also a great place to cool off. Many streams around to. The seasonals are kept up nice - probably the nicest I've ever seen and they don't seem to have any dumpy ones. One big complaint is the dump station is on an incline and we were unable to dump our tanks out completely and then had to go to our county park and finish dumping there. (We paid for sewer but we couldn't reach it with our 20' hose.) Like the previous poster said, the campground is in a valley - down a steep road and then you must climb road on the way out. Make sure your tow vehicle can pull your rig from a dead stop up a steep hill before you go.

This is a NY state park. There are numerous non-electric sites but only a handful (36) electric sites which are smaller. Water hookups are available at most of the electric sites. The sites are about 30' wide and some are deeper than others. We stayed in the electric area. The park is very clean. The lake, lake playground and fishing areas are a walk from the campground. You can also drive and leave your vehicle near the lake access. No views of the lake from any campsites. Many wineries and an outlet mall not too far.

The new owners purchased the CG last year and have made vast improvements. Still needs some work which you can see is being done on a daily basis. Very picturesque area. 10 minutes from Ithaca. Owners are extremely nice and eager to please their customers.

We were there on a rainy Columbus Day weekend with a bunch of other families. We really didn't use the amenities but did enjoy the karaoke on Saturday. New owners have taken over this year but much needs to be done with the sites themselves. There were puddles and mud everywhere. Some stone and some grading would do wonders. The staff is friendly and we plan to return. Hopefully they will put some stone down for the sites to keep everyone from getting stuck.

Okay after reading the many reviews which most were favorable, we spent the big $$$$ and stayed there. There is security at the gate which checks for your pass each time. The bathrooms, showers and pool areas were very clean. My twins age 16 were able to take adavantage of the transportation system by themselves to travel about the park and into town. This is a wonderful feature. I read an earlier review where someone talks about the activities in the lower part (true) and complains about getting there. The park trolley runs every 30 min or so through the park and to the outlet mall. Some shows were better than others. The staff at the paddle boats and pools were very kind. However, the staff in the office was cold and too matter-of-fact for me. We wanted to extend our stay and they could have cared less - so we didn't. Make sure you have a patio rug (a big one) otherwise, you will have sand, sand and more sand in your rig. It is nice to go to a CG and not see seasonal units anywhere! The basic rate for EWSC Sun-Thurs is $52 Plus 6 per kid, plus 6 for Sat and Sun. It adds up to a lot. We paid the rate (which lots of others do too, as it was pretty full mid week) but I think to charge for kids in addition to that rate is too high - 2 or 3 bucks would be fine. It added up to an extra 60 bucks for just our kids. This is the place, however, if you are in a MH and have no car as you can get almost anywhere by trolley.

Have visited Brennan Beach for many years 15+ and each year there was something new, bigger and better. NOT anymore! The campground was bought by a corporation and now everyone runs amuck. Firecrackers to scare the dogs going off, loud teens all hours of the night, etc. The facilities are still nice - 3 pools and such, but they need to do a few things. Leveling off the roads would be good as when you back in to some of the sites, you need to be careful you don't loose your holding tanks as there is quite a difference from the top center of the road down and back to the campsite. Sites are close and too many vehicles are left along the road causing very close travels down the streets. One vehicle per site should be enforced as there is other adequate parking, but it is a walk. Nicely stocked store with not bad prices for what you need. Nice snack bar. Mini golf is a joke. Beware down at the beach sites- many seasonal trailer-trash units. Wooded area seems nice but some sites look unlevel. Each site through the park does have a cement patio on the awning side to avoid having to use a rug - this is nice when it rains. Pull throughs are close together and some are extremely close to the road.

The "big rig" or full hook-up sites are between the highway and the campground office. You must cross the railroad tracks (watch out low trailers) and then onto a wooden bridge. There is no shade or trees in the full hookup area and the grass was not mowed, nor did it look like it had been mowed in a few weeks. Ammenities are scarce. Pool was okay and the kids did use it. Store and supplies are poor. This is an okay park if you tent trailer or tent camp as there are sites in the woods, but far from everything. Otherwise, not so good for self-contained units.

There are some very nice sites here and some that are not very big at all. Some sites are along the Canaseraga Creek which can have a very wonderful sound when it is rushing past. The owners run a "tight ship." Visitors must pay a fee to visit. There is a pool and some limited activities. The best activity if you are into hiking is to hike the waterfall and glen pools that are on the property. These are really pretty. CG is very near Stony Brook State Park. There are many seasonal sites but are kept very nicely. "No trailer park trashy areas." We went with some friends and had a nice fire and a good time. Be careful getting into the park. It is doable with larger rigs but there is a STEEP hill going into the campground and then you must climb that hill going out. Do not attempt if you don't have the right tow vehicle. There is also a steep short hill right on top of the office that you must go down and then stop to register. After registering they do escort you to the site and make sure you can reach the water and electric, etc. They also charge extra for cable and if you run your AC.
